+ I edited a new trailer video. The one that was posted a few months ago got to be a little outdated. So I used some newer footage and a different song. I've got a few more parts to edit and some things to finish up, but I hope to have the video finished within the next 2-3 weeks. We're thinking about renting out Woodville one night in January and premiering the video there. If you're interested let me know at bud.perspectivesbmx@gmail.com and I'll try to get that lined up. Let The Good Times Roll trailer + Fellow UT film student and friend Josh Chapple sent me a link to a new site he and another friend started up. The page is a place for them to display some of their art and other neat things. And there are a handful of good videos and photos to check out. Chapple is a real good guy, go see what he's up to. For The Love of Art + Don't forget about the Dirty East Contest at The Flow on the 26th and 27th. They have a new site up too, check it out. ridetheflow.com + John Jackson, Jim Baaske, Adam Spillman, and myself went to Chenga lastnight. Adam forgot his waiver and couldn't ride. He sat out all night, and we were all bummed for him. Jim and John had an icepick and wall tap war around the park. I couldn't keep up well enough to even compete. It was a good time and Chenga truly is a fun place to ride. And Cico told us that Chenga is not closing. Chenga World -Bud |

+ I went to Louisville with Jon, Tony, and Troy this past weekend. Troy took some photos, so I wrote a lil story. Louisville trip + Troy designed and ordered some stickers. They'll look like this when they come in. It should be a couple weeks I think. You'll probably have to get in touch with him to get some. We only got a small amount on this order, so get em before they're gone. + Well folks, we new the day was coming, but Troy's barn is officially done. The ramps have been torn down. It's sad to see them go, but they'll be in a new home soon. + Hit The Lights has signed to Silent Movie Records. They just recorded a new EP down in Georgia, and it should be available in early February. They'll be doing some touring this spring as well. Check em out if you get a chance. + The Last Call Contest at Chenga was pretty intense. Biker Ben got 5th in his class(I forget what he entered). I made a quick lil video. With it being as crowded as it was, I tried to stay out of the way of the riders. But what I did film is online. There were bike flips, double whips, and broken light bulbs. [Chenga video] 7mb; Right Click>save target as please. + There's going to be a contest at Blindside in Elkhart, Indiana on the 11th. $15 entry for beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes. It starts at 2PM on Saturday. There will also be a session on Friday night. -Bud |

+ The jam in the barn went down and it was a really fun time. I'm gonna miss that place when its gone. I learned how to peg stall quarters in that place. But I'm glad that those of you who never got to ride the barn in the past made it down for the jam. The barn has been a big part of this site and bringing riders from the middle of nowhere together. So we're trying to put together a slideshow of pictures taken in the barn for an extra feature on the DVD. + Speaking of the DVD... "Let The Good Times Roll" is still in the post-production stages. I still have a few more sections to edit, but hope to have it finished by the first of the year. It's been really hard balancing my time amongst all that I have going on right now. But I'll have a break from school real soon and I plan to pull a few all night edit sessions to finish it up. I'd like to edit a new trailer as well, since the one that is up now is a bit outdated at this point. Anyhow, I'll keep you posted on the progress of the video. + There are a few new sites that you should check out. First of all, Shook(www.shookin.com). Go see what Chad Shackleford's got goin' on. The second is Silent Movie Records(www.silentmovierecords.com). SMR is out of Toledo/Detroit and they're good guys, so you should support them. Tell your friends. + The Dirty East Contest at The Flow is scheduled for December 26th and 27th this year. More info posted on the contests page. + I sold my lowepro bag and bought a bigger one. So now I've got enough room to carry all of my video and photo stuff with me while I'm out riding. This means I'll be taking more photos for the site. I'm excited about that. -Bud |
![]() Troy almost pulled it. Rail-ride to whip at the last barn jam. ![]() Tyler Monaghan was goin' big at the jam. He pulled this fakie wallride to xup out a handful of times. What you can't see is how steep the quarter is and the size of the deck. ![]() I've just always liked this picture and I don't think I've posted it yet. Troy Merke: 180. Photo: P. Fishy. |
