+ As many of you have already heard Woodville Skatepark will be closing. The last session is scheduled for Sunday April 3rd. I, as well as many friends I've met there, have been riding there since they opened over 4 years ago. So it'll be sad to see it go. There will be news of their future plans soon, but the existing ramps are up for sale. Check woodvillesk8park.com for more info. Wednesday night there are sure to be a lot of bikers there. I'll be out there Thursday evening as well. + If you subscribe to Ride magazine you may have already noticed that Perspectivesbmx.com has been selected as website of the month for June '05. If not you'll have to wait until it hits newstands to see the little interview I did. Thanks Fudger. bmxonline.com + Shannon Thomas of Felony and Ben Sammons of Death Industries are putting together a 'zine called "Risen Flag." More news on that soon. Here is an ad that I put together for it. + Jon Bechtold sent me a couple frame grabs from some footage they shot a couple weekends ago. Check them out: Jon Bechtold and Casey Longshore. + Jon also put together a video with the footage from our recent trip to Atlanta. ATLANTA TRIP VIDEO see you at Woodville, -Bud |
![]() Casey Longshore- double peg to double tire ride on the OSU kinker?... he put a foot down on this one, but I heard that he'll be pullin' it soon. ![]() Noah Zyduck was home for Easter and I rode with him at Highland. But this isn't at Highland. This is Noah doing an invert at his home away from home, Rampage Skatepark. Photo by Dave at bikeguide.org. |

+ Jon Bechtold, Casey Longshore, Tony Cherry, and Joey "Mojo" Vance have left Felony Clothing for another deal. The rest of the team is bummed, but hold no hard feelings and respect their decision. Jon plans on starting a video series of his own, and I've been left in charge of the Felony team video. In other team news Jim Baaske has been added to the roster. And just for the record, Mojo wants you all to know that he was never beat up by the drunk girl at UD. He was in fact punched in the face a few times, but he let it happen. Are ya happy that I cleared that one up, Joey? + I went back through "Let The Good Times Roll" and changed a few things. Some parts have been deleted or shortened, and some new footage has been included. So any new orders for the DVD will now include a copy of the new edit(and probably a handful of stickers) as a bonus. If you've already bought a copy of the video and would like to see the new version, email me. bud.perspectivesbmx[at]gmail.com. Store... + Shook 3: Winteractive will be out soon. I've seen the trailer and it's hot! Check the trailer, now!. Another video you should check out(if you haven't already) is the T1 video, "You Get What You Get". I got a copy the other day and I seriously love it. It's a little different from most other bmx videos. But I think it shows what BMX is all about; spending time with friends and traveling(not to mention some really good footage). Terribleone.com | Shookin.com + It seems like injuries are the popular thing lately. Tim Downs dislocated his jaw during a college hockey game the other night. Tony Cherry will be having surgery on his knee very soon. Nahtan Powell sprained or broke his ankle at Woodville on Friday. He'll be out for a couple weeks or so. + Eric Burger threw a late night jam at Woodville Friday night. I uploaded a few pictures from that and other pictures we've collected over the past couple of weeks, as well as some video clips. A big thanks goes out to Burger for puttin' on a good time. The new photos include shots of Nathan, John, Thomas, Drew, Daniel, and myself. Check em out, and don't forget the new video clips. -Bud |

+ I've made it back to Toledo from the Felony Trip. It was a long drive down there and a long drive back, but it was worth it. We got to ride some really good spots in some really good weather. It was about 60-70 degrees and sunny in Georgia each day. Here in Ohio it's in the 20's and 30's. A day or two after we got back Jon, Casey, and Joey were riding street in downtown Dayton and were given tickets for riding on the sidewalk. They're all stoked to be back in Dayton. Road Trip Story... + Dayton riders are also stoked to know that once the DC/Rob Dyrdek SkatePlaza opens up they'll be eligible for tickets there too. This really bothers me because it's another park in the greater Dayton area that doesn't allow bikes. Every "public" park in the region has rules against bikes. Sometimes I forget how fortunate I am to have Highland and Woodville. If this bothers you too, email me. bud.perspectivesbmx at gmail.com. I'm really interested in getting something organized to get bikes into the plaza. Maybe a protest at the grand opening? If you're down for the cause send me a message. + Albe's is putting on a contest at Modern Ramp Park in Novi, Michigan. It's going to be held on April 10th. Visit albes.com for more info. + Death Industries is having a huge sale to make way for new stuff. T-shirts for $3 and hoodies for $10.50!? Go buy some! + Copies of the "Let The Good Times Roll" DVD's are now $15 a piece. Buy one. -Bud |
![]() When we left Georgia we kidnapped Casey Longshore. He lives in Dayton now and feebles handrails like this one in Athens, GA. ![]() The grand opening for the DC Skate Plaza in Kettering, Oh. has been set for June 1st, but no bikes will be allowed. That's one more "public" park in the Dayton area that won't allow bikes, unless we do somethin' about it. |

+ The TRP Contest video is up. Right Click > Save Target As... + In case you haven't heard the sad news by now Chenga World will be closing. Newspaper article + John Jackson took off his brakes and his pegs. Now he does truckdrivers. + I won't be updating again for a couple weeks. I'm going to Atlanta for a few days, then spending a week in Dayton. I'm leaving tomorrow morning. Goin' along on the trip will be myself, Troy Merkle, Jim Baaske, Tony Cherry, Matt Burchett, Brett Peltier, and Joey Vance. We'll be meeting up with Jon Bechtold and Casey Longshore in Athens, and hope to get some good footage for the Felony video. I'll try to have a big update when we get back. -Bud |
